I hope this email finds you well.  I am a Ph.D. Candidate at Lindsey Wilson College in the Counselor Education & Supervision Program. I am inquiring to see if you'd like to participate in my qualitative study entitled "Understanding the Barriers to Academic Success for Black Students in K-12 with ADHD".  I am seeking the perceptions of school counselors, community-based counselors, and families in Baltimore city. As a former community-based counselor in Baltimore city, I am looking to understand perceived barriers and how families, schools, and the community can work together to overcome those challenges to close the achievement gap for students. This study has been approved by the IRB at Lindsey #LWC-IRB-121520-004. I am happy to send you a copy of my informed consent that provides further information about the purpose of the study.
I am happy to talk more about this research opportunity and provide more detailed information at your convenience. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Have a great day.

Best,

Jazmone Wilkerson
